Born in 1953 in Diepenheim, The Netherlands. She was a farmer and agricultural entrepreneur in an LLP from 1968 to 2013. From 1991-1995, she was Councillor of the Municipality of Ambt Delden. She was a Member of the Provincial Council of Overijssel from 1995-1998 and Member of the House of Representatives of the Netherlands (Dutch Parliament) from 1998-2010. As a Member of the Dutch Parliament, she was Vice-Chairwoman of the standing parliamentary committee on economic affairs (2002-2006) and Chairwoman of the standing parliamentary committee on agriculture, nature and food quality (2004-2008). Prior to, during, and after her political career Mrs Schreijer-Pierik was a member of the board of various agricultural and social organisations, such as LTO Netherlands, the Catholic Women's Guild of the Netherlands, as well as a member of the supervisory board of FC Twente. MEP since 2014.
