Asim Ahmedov Ademov was born on 3 December 1968 in Dubnitsa, Garmen Municipality. He completed his secondary education at Dimitar Talev National High School in the city of Gotse Delchev. He pursued his higher education in Plovdiv, where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Bulgarian Philology. Mr Ademov then obtained a Master's Degree in Public Administration at the Southwest University Neofit Rilski, Blagoevgrad. Embarking on his career path, he started as a teacher of Bulgarian language and literature at Hristo Botev Primary School in Dolno Dryanovo, Garmen Municipality, where after over 20 years of professional experience, he became Headmaster of the school. From 2011 to 2015, Mr Ademov served as a municipal councillor representing his affiliated political party (GERB) in the Garmen Municipal Council. In December 2014, he was appointed Deputy Regional Governor of the Blagoevgrad District and held this position until the beginning of 2017 when he became a Member of the European Parliament.
