Building a sustainable Europe

The fight against climate change is one of our top priorities. To achieve this goal, we are promoting collective efforts by EU Member States to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, including those related to land use, land-use change, and forestry. Additionally, we are focused on advancing the circular economy and updating waste legislation.

In addition to tackling environmental issues, we are also committed to addressing public health concerns. We support various programs and actions aimed at improving public health, including those related to pharmaceutical and cosmetic products. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been advocating for a stronger Health Union in Europe that is better equipped to respond to the health challenges of our time.

Finally, the EPP Group is dedicated to ensuring that food and medicines are safe and accessible to all European citizens.

We continue to advocate for legislation that protects against risks to human health, such as anti-microbial resistance, which is responsible for approximately 35,000 deaths per year in the European Union.
