Alessandra Mussolini was born in 1962. She graduated Cum Laude in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Rome. She is a member of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Rome. She was elected for the first time in 1992 to the Chamber of Deputies of the Italian Parliament and re-elected in 1994, 1996 and 2001. She was elected again to the Italian Chamber of Deputies in 2008 where she was Chair of the Childhood and Adolescence Committee. In 2013, she was elected to the Senate of the Italian Republic and as Secretary of the Presidency of the Council. During her political career, she was elected twice as city Councillor for Naples, Councillor for the Province of Latina, and Councillor for the Campania Region. MEP from 2004 - 2008, from 2014 - 2019 and since 2022.
