Born on 26 May 1957, Claude Rolin is originally from Bertrix in the province of Luxembourg. He has a Degree in the Social Science of Work and in Economic and Social Politics. He has been involved in trade unionism from a young age and was Secretary-General of the Belgian Christian Trade Union Confederation (CSC) from 2006 up to his entry into politics in 2014. He held several positions during this time such as Vice-President of the Central Council for the Economy, member of the Steering Committee of the European Trade Union Confederation, advisor to the European Economic and Social Committee and member of the Board of the Committee on Industrial Change. In February 2014, he entered the political arena and led the European list of the Belgian Centrist Party (cdH) in the European Elections. MEP since 2014.
