Vice-Chairwoman of the Delegation for relations with the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (2007-2009). Member and then Coordinator for the EPP Group of the Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality (1999-2009). Member of the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (2000-2009); Member of the Temporary Committee on Climate Change (2007-2009). Substitute Member of the Committee on Culture and Education (2007-2009) and of the Committee on Transport and Tourism (2004-2007). MEP since 1999.
