Agnieszka Kozłowska-Rajewicz is a doctor of biology. She graduated with a Master's Degree and Doctorate at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland, majoring in human biology. In 1998, she started working as a lecturer at the Adam Mickiewicz University. She also wrote curricula and school textbooks. She became Director of Ecological Education at the Department of Biology in 2005. She was elected to the Sejm, the Polish Parliament, in 2007. She sat on the committees for Education, Science and Youth as well as Family and Social Policy. She is author of the Quota Law, providing a minimum of 35% of men and women on the Polish electoral lists. Between December 2011 and June 2014, she was the Government Plenipotentiary for Equal Treatment in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. One of the main priorities of her work as Plenipotentiary was the promotion of equality between men and women on the labour market and family life. MEP since 2014.
