To make the European Green Deal work for everyone, the EPP Group has championed the climate ambition to around 57% of CO2 reduction by 2030 and advocated for innovation and rewarding companies investing in clean technologies. The group provided support for those struggling in the green transition and advocated for fair competition for European businesses globally during this transition. We improved the European energy markets, ensuring affordability and renewable energy growth, and promoted market-based incentives for clean technology investments. The EPP Group also defended the European model of family farming and established measures to assist farmers during crises, with a €450 million crisis reserve demonstrating our commitment to a sustainable future.
