Free up platform economy as springboard for SMEs
Successful European online platform start-ups like Spotify and Booking.com called for less regulation but a level playing field to encourage more success stories. They spoke at a hearing where Henna Virkkunen, Krišjānis Kariņš and other EPP Group MEPs and European Commission Vice-President Jyrki Katainen sounded them out as they consider what actions to take at EU level to encourage European platforms.
