EPP Group to give its go ahead to new Commission
The EPP Group will give the thumbs up to the new European Commission to be led by Ursula von der Leyen in a vote in the European Parliament, and MEPs are expected to follow suit.
Manfred Weber, the EPP Group Chairman, set out some of the key areas that EPP Commissioners will focus on during the Commission’s five-year term of office: security, the economy, trade, research and climate change.
