Nato nel 1984 a Roeselare, Tom Vandenkendelaere è entrato a far parte del Parlamento europeo in seguito alla nomina dell'europarlamentare belga Marianne Thyssen a Commissario europeo.
È l'ex presidente nazionale di JONG (giovani) CD&V e ha conseguito un dottorato di ricerca in Relazioni internazionali (Università di Kent).
Eurodeputato dal 2014.
