Tom Vandenkendelaere, geboren in 1984 in Roeselare, werd lid van het Europees Parlement na de benoeming van het Belgische Europarlementslid Marianne Thyssen tot Europees Commissaris.
Hij is de voormalige nationale voorzitter van JONG (young) CD&V en heeft een doctoraat in internationale betrekkingen (University of Kent).
