Tom Berendsen was born in 1983 and raised in Breda, he is married to Aniek and is the father of Job. He holds a degree in Public Administration. Tom completed an internship at the office of Brabantstad in Brussels before joining the EPP Group Dutch Delegation in the European Parliament as an assistant. As of March 2015, he worked as a sustainability consultant at PwC, before being elected as a Member of the European Parliament in 2019. In his first term in the European Parliament, Tom is a Member of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) and the Committee on Regional Development (REGI). He is a Substitute Member of the Committee on Transport and Tourism (TRAN). MEP since 2019.
