Born in 1948. Catalonia. Lawyer-University of Barcelona since 1971. Graduated in Company Management at IESE.Vicepresident SATI (textil company) 1980-1996. Vicepresident Spanish High Sports Board 1996-1998. Secretary of State for Sports 1998-1999. President of the PP Municipal Council of Barcelona 1999-2003. Minister in the Madrid Regional Government (Culture, Sports, Tourism, Youth) 2003-2009. Member of the Spanish Olympic Committee since 1996. MEP since 2009.
