Born in 1963. Graduated in information, communication and business organisation. From 1992 to 1999, she was assistant to the Senior Vice-President of the Regional Council of Lorraine Metz in charge of urban policy, spatial planning and sports. From 2000-2002, she was Head of Communications of the Regional Natural Park of Lorraine. From 2002 to 2008, she was the National Secretary of the UMP (in charge of social dialogue 2002-2004, professional associations 2004-2006 and General Delegate to the professional world 2006-2008). From 2002 to 2008, she was a Member of the French National Assembly (District of Meurthe-et-Moselle), and Member of the Committee on Social Affairs, Family and Culture. She was re-elected in 2007. From 2008 to 2010, she was Secretary of State for Family and Solidarity, and from 2010-2012, Minister for Apprenticeship and Professional Formation. She has been a Regional Councillor in Lorraine (President of the UMP-NC Related Group) since 2004. She is currently General Delegate of elections within the UMP, and is the Departmental Secretary of the UMP 54. MEP since 2014.
