Former inspector with the National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority in Botosani from 2011 to 2013, Mihai Țurcanu also became Head of the National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority in Bucharest in 2013. In 2013, he served as Adviser to the Romanian Prime Minister and from 2013 to 2014 as Vice-President of the Consumer Protection Authority. From 2014 to 2015 he served as an Adviser to a Member of the European Parliament, before joining the ranks as an MEP himself in 2015.
