Born in 1951, Arcinazzo Romano (Rome). He graduated in Political Science from LUISS Guido Carli University, Rome. He has a background as an entrepreneur. He was on the Board of Directors of leading companies and banks until 2004. He was also Marketing Director of a communications company. In 2005, he was elected Head of the National Political Party UDC and still holds this position today. From 2006 to 2013, he was a Member of the Italian Parliament. He is also a member of the International Popular Christians Party. MEP and Vice-President of the EPP Group from 2004 to 2006. Re-elected in 2014.
