Jörgen Warborn is a Swedish entrepreneur and politician of the Moderate Party. Jörgen Warborn studied Economics and Leadership at the International University of Monaco. He also studied International Relations at the London School of Economics, and Entrepreneurship at Babson College in Boston. Warborn started his first business at the age of 17 and has, since then, started and managed several small businesses, primarily in the IT and Marketing sector. Warborn was Mayor of Varberg Municipality from the 2010 general election until his election into the Swedish Parliament in 2014. He was re-elected to the Swedish Riksdag in 2018. In addition to his role in parliament, Warborn briefly served as a Member of the Swedish delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in 2019 and he has been national Chairman of the Moderate Party’s business council since 2016. In this current ninth term of the European Parliament (2019-2024), Jörgen Warborn is a Member of the Committee on International Trade and a Substitute Member of the Committee on Transport and Tourism and the Committee on Budgets. In addition, he is the EPP Group Vice-Coordinator in the Committee on International Trade. Jörgen Warborn is also a Member of the Delegation for relations with Mercosur and a Substitute Member of the Delegation for relations with the People’s Republic of China. He is also a Board Member of the EPP SME Circle and Vice- President of SME Europe of the EPP. MEP since 2019.
