Coordinator of the Polish American Enterprise Club in Opole (1992-1993). Director of the European Integration Department, Marshal Office of the Opole Voivodeship (1999- 2003). Head of the European Affairs and Development Planning Department, City of Opole (2003-2005). Member of the Polish Parliament (2005- 2009). Vice-President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe 2007-2009. MEP since 2009.
