Born in 1967. Somogy and Zala. Degree in agricultural engineering, 1990. Member of FIDESZ - Hungarian Civic Association since 1988. Elected in 1990 as the youngest MP of the first democratic parliament. Former member of the Committees of economic, agricultural and European affairs. From 1994 researcher at the Agro-economic Research Institute, dealing with issues of WTO and enlargement, from the perspective of Hungarian agriculture. From 1998 professor of European studies at the College of Economy and Commerce in Szolnok. In 1998 elected as the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on European Affairs and Head of the Hungarian Council of Excise Duty Affairs. Head of the Hungarian Breweries’ Association, 1999-February 2000. Parliamentary Secretary of State in the Ministry of Economic Affairs, February 2000 - May 2002. Deputy Head of the Agriculture Committee, 2002. MEP since 2004.
