Anja Haga, born in 1976 in Drachten, is a devoted Christian with a strong passion for environmental conservation. She lives a plastic-free lifestyle and specialises in environmental and climate matters at the European level. Her career path includes roles such as a strategic advisor at Staatsbosbeheer, an advisor to the Eurofractie, and a former councillor in Arnhem. She also served as a provincial council member and faction leader in the Provincial States of Fryslân. Anja's educational background includes a Cum Laude Degree in European Policy Making from the Vrije Universiteit Brussels. She also studied Business Management at the Leeuwarder Business School and General Linguistics at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. Committed to a sustainable future, Anja Haga continues to advocate for environmentally friendly solutions, determined to impact the planet for generations to come positively. Furthermore, she fights for the protection of freedom of religion and belief inside and outside the EU in the European Parliament. MEP since 2023.
