Stick to EU’s CO2-cutting plan; need for global commitment

At an exchange of views Wednesday between the European Parliament’s Environment Committee and Environment Commissioner Connie Hedegaard,  the EPP Group’s Richard Seeber rejects calls for “backloading” CO2 allowances as an anti-industry measure. He emphasizes the international dimension to the climate negotiations – that the US, BRICs and other nations need to join in the commitment to slash greenhouse gases.
