Background:
The EPP did not only push for a postponement but also for certain changes to the Deforestation law, which had initially been adopted in 2023 and which was supposed to enter into force end of December 2024. At the press conference, following the plenary vote on the postponement of the law, we will explain our position.
Journalists are invited to attend physically. It is also possible to ask questions remotely following this link.
