European Fund for Strategic Investment: boosting funding for social services
The European Fund for Strategic Investment was designed to boost investment in Europe’s flagging economy.MEPs, the European Commission and civil society met to debate how the fund could be improved and how it could unlock investment in high quality social services.The European Fund for Strategic Investment comes to a close at the end of 2018. However, the European Commission is expected to come up with a proposal in autumn this year to extend the life of the fund beyond that date.
