EPP Group elects speakers for the Parliament's Committees

Coordinators

Tonight, the EPP Group elected its leaders in the different Parliamentary Committees. Called 'coordinators' or 'speakers' of the Group, they chair the EPP Group in the respective Committees, build consensus among EPP Group MEPs, and negotiate on its behalf with the other political groups. They are the EPP Group's spokespeople on the topics of the Committees.

The constitution of all Parliamentary Committees and the election of the Committee Chairs will take place on Tuesday 23 July.
