"The momentum is there" - majority voting for stronger EU Security and Defence Policy
The European Union has often been blocked from taking decisive action on the world stage because of the need for consensus among the EU 27.
In three reports approved in the European Parliament, negotiated by EPP Group MEPs, qualified majority voting could be applied to certain actions like sanctions.
The move would be an important step toward a more decisive EU Foreign Policy.
