Euro at 20, InvestEU, Brexit, Crop protection
At its latest plenary session, the European Parliament celebrated the Euro’s 20th birthday and approved the new InvestEU plan to follow the Juncker Plan by boosting investment by €700 billion from 2021-27. Parliament debated the EU’s next steps after the British Parliament voted down the proposed Brexit agreement. And MEPs gave its final approval to a Special Committee Report calling for more transparency and closer monitoring of pesticides, as part of the approval process.
