Cleaner energy by opening up Europe’s Single Market

The European Parliament has approved legislation calling for common rules in Europe’s energy market, part of a series of laws entitled ‘Clean Energy for All Europeans’. The legislation calls for an opening-up of the market across the EU, allowing for more competition and innovation, as well as giving the consumer the choice of picking a new electricity provider. Jerzy Buzek of the EPP Group is author of the legislation.
