Von der Leyen, Mitsotakis and businesses to discuss creating jobs after COVID

On the invitation of the EPP Group, Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, CEOs of leading European industry companies and experts will discuss how to create jobs after the COVID pandemic.

"In this crisis, we need to focus on the younger generation and their hopes and opportunities for the future. They have sacrificed a lot in the past year and we cannot afford a lost generation. This is why we should invest massively in a future perspective for them and make sure the investments we make today are their jobs of tomorrow", declared Chairman Manfred Weber MEP as he announced the kick-off conference of the event series called ‘Jobs Jobs Jobs for a stronger recovery’.

Confirmed speakers include: Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Merck's future CEO Belén Garijo, Piaggio's CEO Roberto Colaninno, AudEERING's CEO Dagmar Schuller, CNN news anchor Richard Quest, EPP Group Chairman Manfred Weber MEP, EPP Group Vice-Chair Esther de Lange MEP, EPP Group Coordinator Christian Ehler MEP and President of the EPP's SME Europe Ivan Štefanec MEP.
