EPP Group elects leaders in new Parliamentary committees

New coordinators of the EPP Group in five Parliamentary Committees

The EPP Group today elected its leaders in five newly-set-up Parliamentary committees. The so-called Coordinators are the speakers of the EPP Group in their respective committees. They chair and coordinate the work of the Group in the committees.

Cindy Franssen MEP is the EPP Group Coordinator in the Special Committee on beating cancer (BECA). Nathalie Colin-Oesterlé MEP is the Vice-Coordinator.

Lidia Pereira MEP is the EPP Group Coordinator in the Sub-committee on tax matters (FISC). Christophe Hansen MEP is the Vice-Coordinator.

Jeroen Lenaers MEP is the EPP Group Coordinator in the Special Committee on foreign interference in all democratic processes in the European Union, including disinformation (INGE). Rasa Juknevičienė MEP is the Vice-Coordinator.

Eva Maydell MEP is the EPP Group Coordinator in the Special Committee on artificial intelligence in a digital age (AIDA). Riho Terras MEP is the Vice-Coordinator.

Daniel Buda MEP is the EPP Group Coordinator in the Inquiry Committee on animal transport (ANIT). Michal Wiezik MEP is the Vice-Coordinator.

The European Parliament decided in June to set up these new committees. They should start their work next week.
